What do we allow?

Recently a young man, a student, was arrested for rape and sexual assault.

If we are unable or unwilling to protect women and children, arguably our home and our future, what good are we as a community.

He will receive a wholly inadequate sentence for the destruction he has caused.

'Disarm Rapists'

This is a slogan that has been around for a quarter century and still we do little or nothing.

Molesters and defilers should be disarmed. Chemically and, if possible, physically.

We have institutionalized our acceptance that, 'these things happen'.

Yes they do. All too frequently.

The exercise of power and mental and physical abuse is a choice and the punishment should, at the very least, fit the crime.

A few years of being butt-punched in prison doesn't even come close.

The suffering of the victims is life-long as the punishment should be.
